Pastor Bill Koogler - Lead Pastor
Pastor Bill grew up in the Seattle area. He attended Whitworth
University in
Spokane WA, where he received a Bachelor of Arts
degree in psychology. While
in college, he served as a youth pastor.
Following graduation from Whitworth,
he went on staff at CrossRoads
Church in the Dallas area as associate pastor.
While in Texas he earned a Master of Theology degree at Dallas Theological
Seminary. He returned to the Northwest with his wife Darby in 2008 when he
was called to continue God’s work at Good News Fellowship in Ferndale.
Pastor Bill's spiritual gifts are teaching, evangelism, and leadership. He
has a passion for seeing God’s truth presented to people in a culturally
relevant style without compromising its truth. He also believes that one of
the keys to an effective church is keeping a balance between evangelism and
discipleship. In addition to his wife Darby, he has 2 children. He is
passionate about the church family living out Biblical truths by serving the
Lord together in their community.
Eric Young - Director of Youth Ministry
Eric grew up as a pastor's kid and at an early age asked Jesus Christ
to come
into his heart and be the leader of his life. When Eric was 20
he chose to
fully submit every part of his life to Christ as he began to
pursue a passion
for youth ministry, that God had put in his heart,
which he realized he could
no longer try and run from. God brought a lovely young woman named Savannah
into Eric's life and they got married in July of 2007. Together they spent a
year as the Tour Directors for the Ugandan Orphans Choir doing ministry fundraising.
They have now settled down at Good News with Eric as the Youth Director which suits
him perfectly as he is just a big kid at heart anyways.
