Prayer & Care

God describes the community of believers as family and says that our defining characteristic will be our love for each other. Regardless of our past or present, most of us will face moments when we need someone to walk a specific path with us. Someone who will offer care that we can’t find anywhere else. We want to be a church that cares for people – and helps people care for one another. We have many ways for different people with different passions and gifting to serve as part of one of our Prayer opportunities and/or Care Ministries. Information is also included on how to receive prayer or timely care and help.

Right now we have four ways you can be involved in prayer at GNF. Learn about the After Service Prayer Team, Corporate Prayer Requests, Individual Prayer Requests, and the 24/7 Prayer Initiative.

Prayer Ministries

There are a number of opportunities for people who have a heart for prayer at GNF. Some are opportunities to pray from home, pray with others or pray for others.

Individual Prayer Requests

You can request prayer on the Connection card in your bulletin each week or Office during business hours or any time using this simple online form. If you would also like to request a card be sent to the person being prayed for, please include that in your request and we would be happy to do so.

Join the team! We have a faithful team of volunteers who pray over these individual requests and send out cards of encouragement. If you would like to be part of our team, please contact the GNF Office at 360-384-1515 or via email:

Prayer for our Church

This team of people receives weekly prayer requests for our church, our staff and ministries, and our community so they can be praying at home for these needs. For more information or to begin receiving this prayer letter, contact the GNF Office at 360-384-1515 or via email:

Operation Rolling Thunder:

Members of this group commit to pray the 3rd Thursday of every month at a designated time so that we can cover the church and community in prayer for 24 hours. If you would like to commit to a prayer time on behalf of GNF, please contact the GNF Office at 360-384-1515 or via email:

After Service Prayer Team:

After every Sunday Service, this team of volunteers is ready and willing to pray with anyone who has a need. Team members are well trained in how to care for people and help carry their burden through prayer. The first step is to contact the GNF Office at 360-384-1515 so they can answer any questions you may have and find out a little more about you. The second step will be to complete the GNF Volunteer Interest form.

Benevolence Ministry

Submitting a Need
Please share needs via email, a written, signed and dated letter, or verbally, as you become aware of them with the Benevolence Team members, the Pastor(s) or the GNF Office.

Joy of Giving
It is the joy of the Benevolence Team to distribute designated donations for meeting emergency needs. Because God has freely given, we freely give to others, while being good stewards as we distribute financial assistance.
